Iran makes doc on stem cells

Iran documentary ‘Sahab’ on stem cells have been made in a bid to raise public awareness regarding the importance of such issue.

The doc's director, Arash Lahouti, was quoted by the domestic media on Saturday as saying that the film "focuses on donating stem cells and their effects on people’s life.”

‘Sahab’ has been produced by an institution affiliated with Iran Health Ministry, the documentarian also said.

The film took its name from one of the doc’s child character named “Sahab” who is desperately in need of stem cells implantation. In fact, the film narrates life story of the child in his own words.

Lahouti notes that ‘Sahab’ strives to foster the culture of donating stem cells.

Iran’s cell and molecular research has led to great achievements in the field to place Iran as one of the best in the world in stem cell research.
